University of Tasmania Alumni Email has changed in response to a growing cybersecurity threat posed by these accounts.

In 2025, a series of four emails were sent to our alumni email users’ University accounts. These emails explained that alumni users had to accept new terms of use and apply Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to your accounts in order to retain access.

The deadline for action was April 7, 2025.

These four emails were sent on the follow dates:

24 March 2025

31 March 2025
[Final notification of change]

Now that this deadline has passed, where alumni users did not open and action these emails, accepting the new terms of use and applying MFA, these accounts have been permanently decommissioned.

Alumni users who did not accept the updated terms of use, who wish to access their historical email data can contact UConnect at (03) 6226 2600 or Email U.Connect@utas.edu.au. An archive file will be provided, enabling alumni to import historical emails into another email client.
